3 January 1892, 124 Years Ago, John Ronald Reuel Tolkien Was Born

John Ronald Reuel Tolkien (1892 – 1973) – philologist, university professor, writer, poet; a master of literature, a master of languages and a master of fantasy, a man with the most brilliant and unique imagination ever, an author of The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, and The Lord of the Rings.

Tolkien.10

John Ronald Reuel Tolkien was a man who loved and appreciated the noble ideals so much that every book of his is devoted to the struggle for these ideals.

Tolkein, was a man who loved and understood Nature’s harmony and the fragility of it’s beauty so well that he defended it in every written piece of his.

He disliked the industrial development so much that he considered it the most dangerous thing for the World.

Being a  philologist/linguist, he knew the secrets of various old and modern languages so deeply and so perfectly that he created his own imaginary tongues. What is more, he used the seemingly unlimited power of his imagination to create an entire universe with its own history and its own myths and legends that is populated by beings strange and powerful and wise who speak those “long-forgotten” languages.

Lastly, Tolkein was a writer who managed to describe his “second world” with so much talent and realism that we deeply believe in it and at times even forget that this world exists only in his books.

I have shown J.R.R.Tolkien between The Two Trees of Valinor –  “Laurelin (The Golden Tree)” and “Telperion (The Silver Tree)”.
